We want to thank everyone who attended the Parent Night Scavenger Hunt at Snyder Intermediate! The students pictured won the grand prizes and a fun project to kick off their summer break!
Students worked with their parents to solve riddles and answer STAAR questions for each subject. Once they answered the question correctly, they received the next clue. After finishing the scavenger hunt, students spun the wheel for prizes on the spot.

Mrs. Cade also wants to give out a shout-out to Mrs. Neff for creating the scavenger hunt. Everyone had a great time! #snydertigers

Our A Cappella choir is going to be singing "The Road Home" by Stephen Paulus at our final concert this year to honor our phenomenal accompanist and friend, Mrs. Terrie Jo McWilliams.

We would like to invite any SHS choir alumni to join us in singing on this piece. The choir portion of the concert will begin at 5:00 PM on Friday, May 10th. There will be ONE rehearsal on Tuesday, May 7th starting at 6:30 PM to work with our choir alumni. Attached below is a link to a playlist on YouTube that includes practice tracks for all parts. Please come to the rehearsal on Tuesday evening already knowing your notes and rhythms so that the rehearsal will go smoothly.

Snyder Junior High administration was informed that a student may intend to harm other students. Campus administration, the counselor, and the school resource officer began an investigation immediately. All students are safe, and the issue is being addressed.

While privacy laws prohibit us from discussing the discipline of any specific individual, we can assure you that any student found responsible for making threats of violence will face the consequences as allowed by both district policy and law.

We all play an essential role in ensuring school-wide safety. It is the responsibility of students, staff, and families to report any potential threats to the proper authorities. We appreciate the concern and help of the individuals who have taken this responsibility seriously by notifying the appropriate authorities.

🚨 How to report a safety concern:
Please report any information about weapons, threats, fights, drugs, self-harm, suicide, harassment (of any form), bullying, or any other concerning disclosures made to you or posted online.
Urgent Concerns: If you notice any suspicious activity or have safety concerns, report it immediately to the principals or school resource officer or call 911.
Non-urgent Concerns: please use the "See Something, Say Something" form, that can be found at www.snyderisd.net/safety.

Let's give a 👏👏👏 to these super spellers!
🐝 First grade Spelling Bee Winners 🐝
Hannah Worley-champion
Oliver Cabrera-runner up

🐝 Second grade Spelling Bee Winners 🐝
Elijah Hogg—champion
Ximena Montoya Reyna—runner up

Did you know that strong spelling skills can lead to better reading? Research shows that spelling and reading rely on similar knowledge, like the relationships between letters and sounds. So, great job to all of the students who studied for the Spelling Bee. They are developing an important skill at a young age!
